I was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick—a city built on grit, hard work, and people who know how to get through the rough patches with a bit of humor. Growing up in a place like that shaped the way I see the world and the way I write: honest, unpolished, and grounded in real experience.
I write character-driven fiction rooted in family, small towns, and the complicated relationships that define us. My stories are often inspired by real memories and real people—the kind you don’t forget, even when you try. I’m drawn to the truth beneath the surface of everyday life, and I try to blend humour with emotional honesty in everything I write.
I’m the author of The Crimers: In-Laws or Outlaws and Bunny’s Poems, with more books on the way. My goal is always the same: to create stories that feel lived-in, full of personality, imperfect characters, and moments that hit close to home.
When I’m not writing, I spend my time around the Maritimes, working on new ideas, and connecting with readers who appreciate stories that reflect real life—messy, complicated, and sometimes unexpectedly funny.
